Light-weight panels with textile cover made of high-quality tarpaulins. TX modules have been specially developed for mounting on Bimi or Sprayhood. These areas provide sufficient space for powerful solar modules. Finally enough power for the fridge, tablet, sat nav and autopilot.

Quick release fasteners LOXX tops are used in the binding band. The package also includes a watertight plug-in connection (cable plug and socket), LOXX sockets and a 10m connection cable for a particularly simple and fast assembly.

If the panel is no longer needed, it can be quickly removed - Loosen the coupling on the cable, open the LOXX, fold the panel and store it. Thanks to the compact dimensions there is always a place.

Details

The panels consist of one or more wings. In the case of multi-wing panels, these are firmly connected by textile joints. The cable between the panels runs along the joints, tensile forces and kinking loads can not affect the cable at all. The compact dimensions of the panels enables an easy transportation and the folded panel will find space in almost every storage space on board. Even carrying a 200Wp panel - the TX-42052 - in the aircraft is now possible.

Each wing of a multi-wing panel works independently! This special interconnection technology used by SunWare ensures that when one element is shadowed, the other wings continue to produce full power.

With 24V modules, two wings are connected in series and should have the same orientation to the sun.

The monocrystalline PERChigh-performance solar cells are protected in an EVA laminate and ETFE coatings against weathering. Even in diffused light conditions or even in winter, the modules produce a high charging current.

Assembly
The panels are fastened to the Bimini with the LOXX fasteners. Cut holes for the LOXX elements in the Bimini with the enclosed punch, screw the LOXX into the Bimini with the enclosed sealing washers and clip on the panels. To remove the panels, raise the head of the LOXX element and release it from the lower part.

On the module is 1m cable, to this the attached cable plug is mounted. To the 10m long cable, the cable socket and the cap is mounted. Along the Biminipipes, the cable is led to the deck and fixed with the enclosed UV-resistant cable ties. On deck, the cable is routed through a deck passage way to the inside and then to the charge controller. Alternatively, a pluggable waterproof deck bushing can be mounted on deck.

If the panels are removed from the Bimini, the connector on top of the Bimini can be loosened. With the cap, the cable socket is watertight sealed and can remain on the Bimini.

Serial connection of 12V TX panels only permitted if a cell protector is used per module.

Description

The extension for existing TX solar systems

The TX + panels are identical to the normal TX modules except for the expansion socket.

If a TX panel is already installed and the system is to be expanded, then the new TX + panel is fixed instead of the previous one and the "old" TX module is plugged into the expansion socket.

The expansion socket is already mounted on the panel. In the panels accessory pack we enclose the matching plug.

ATTENTION: Before plugging in for the first time, check the polarity of the plugs and sockets! The blue negative lead is screwed to the pin with the grounding symbol and the red plus lead is screwed to pin 1.

The cables and the plug-in system are designed for up to 16A. Examples:
one TX 22052 and one TX + 22052 with 6A each
or e.g. TX 12052 and 4 continue TX + 12052
or e.g. TX 12052 with TX + 22052 and TX + 12052.

It is important that the 16 A is not exceeded.

You may be wondering why not all modules are shipped directly with expansion connectors. Each plug and socket is a source of corrosion hazards, especially seawater. It is very important to make sure that the TX + modules always have the waterproof cover or a plug screwed onto the socket.

Panels for special tasks

The solar panel TX-11027 is ideal for mobile use. All around is a 2cm wide attachment edge of cover fabric sewn for free use. This edge can be used in a variety of ways for attachment, e.g. by using LOXX, eyelets or sew on velcro or webbing. The panel and cable outlet is 100% waterproof and resistant to salt water.

The solar panel TX-14152 is ideal for charging the battery in winter storage. With the mast upright, simply top D-eyes on two traps, e.g. from jib or mainsail. Align to the south. The lower two D-eyelets e.g. attach to railing, bow or stern with rope. Put tension on the traps - ready!

The panel now floats a few meters above deck, free of shadowing, steeply aligned - ideal for the winter sun. So steep that leaves and dirt slip off the module or are rinsed off the next rain. The panel and cable outlet is 100% waterproof and resistant to salt water.

TX-14152 - Details

The FOX-062 charge controller is included in the package of the panel TX-14152!

The ideal battery charger if the boat is not used for a long time and the batteries need to be maintained. E.g. in the winter periode. The cable has a lenght of 10m, long enough to come into the cabin. Plug in the enclosed charge controller FOX-062, this in turn just plug into a 12V board socket - done!
During the winter, the battery is charged and maintained by the solar system. Due to the significantly longer life of your batteries, the solar system will pay for itself quickly.

The TX-14152 is sufficient for a battery capacity of up to 400Ah (12V).

The D-eyes are sewn to the strap - breaking load 500kg. The panel is sewn only at the upper edge with the webbing. At the lower edge, the webbing is only guided, the forces of tension and elongation of the webbing are not introduced into the panel (analogous to the fixed / floating bearing in mechanical engineering). The connection cable on the panel is also secured by an additional strain relief.

In order to avoid strong swinging in the wind, the panel can be additionally tensioned laterally.

3m supply cable with open cable end is mounted on the module. So the module can be combined with any solar charge controller.
